Patton

Patton was our “first born.” We got him a year after we were married. He was big and goofy; and, we adored him! He would catch and retrieve any ball all day long if we let him. After our children were born, he was their big brother. He loved them and they him even after he knocked them down with his big tail! Throughout his nine years, he gave us love, loyalty, and a lot of laughs!

Once, when he was young, we took him swimming at a golf course pond. He was happily swimming and retrieving his ball when something caught his eye. We thought it was a stick in the water. When Patton got out with the stick, we realized it was a golf club! Too Funny!

We really miss him! I don’t have anyone to announce that someone is at the door or in the driveway. The kids don’t have anyone to “clean up” their food spills. My husband doesn’t have anyone to wrestle with. We know he is in a better place and no longer in pain so, we have to be okay with that. He led an incredible life and we will never forget him.
