Braveheart
Braveheart, came into our lives on June 11, 2005. (Just one week after my birthday) We had rescued his Mama, Leah, and had no idea that she was already expecting when we took her to be spayed. Well, he came along with a brother, Simba. Two others did not make it. His name seemed to fit him as he was not afraid of attempting new things as a kitten and as an adult cat, he made new friends very easily. We bonded in a special way. Our now grown kids, gave him the nickname, Nibbler as he liked to nibble on your finger. My husband, who claimed to be a dog person and not a cat person at all, could not ignore Braveheart’s charms…he won him over. Being an indoor cat most of his life, he also would go outdoors a little each day, and if he was out when my husband arrived home, he would greet him and walk him to the front door. He as very active and loved the outdoors. Whoever says you cannot train a cat is wrong, because we trained him to stay just around the house, in our yard, and he did. He was very cuddly, and always meowed like a kitten. Whenever people came over they would say he had such a majestic look about him, much like a lion. He was our lion, our brave, sweet Lion. He came inside every night and was only outdoors for awhile each day…the day he passed and went to the rainbow bridge, I told him, “Braveheart, You’ll never have to come inside again, sweet boy. So many little memories of him we will carry in our hearts!!! (Braveheart June 11, 2005-June 18, 2011)
